Dyeing animal fibres with plants - Vicki Adams

Saturday 14th May 2011 - Ballarat Permaculture Guild

Vicki has a wealth of experience in fabric and textile work and this will be great opportunity to learn a new application for some of your garden plants.

What could be simpler than keeping a few onion skins – but what colour will they dye the thread?

Find out by coming along!  This will be a very basic beginners workshop.

All materials will be supplied and you will take away some samples of fibres you have dyed.

Questions about the workshop content (not bookings) - ring Vicki on 0458 903 043

Please bring

·         bring a jacket as we will be dyeing outside, and

·         rubber gloves to keep your hands stain-free!

Dress in old gardening clothes that won’t mind a little dye splashing on them

Due to the practical nature of the workshop, numbers are strictly limited.
